How our guides are prepared, sourced and corrected.

What the guides are for

Our aim is to help a homeowner prepare a clearer project brief, compare proposals and recognise when a question needs a contractor, council or qualified adviser. We write for domestic projects around Bedford. We use local references where they change the practical next step, rather than adding place names to general advice.

Research and sources

Guides draw on linked official guidance, technical references and manufacturer information. A manufacturer’s instructions apply to the specified product and conditions; they are not evidence that every fence performs the same way. Prices in the estimator are editorial allowances, not surveyed Bedford prices or a promise of a partner quotation.

Sources can change. Check current documents and address-specific requirements before relying on planning, boundary, safety or product information. These guides do not establish ownership, grant permission, diagnose hidden damage or provide a site design.

Who creates the content?

Bedford Fencing publishes the guides under Richard Summerfield’s responsibility as website operator. AI tools have been used to help research, draft and organise the material and create illustrative images. They do not provide first-hand installation experience or substitute for checking the underlying source.

We do not currently claim that every guide has been reviewed by a fencing professional or legal adviser. If a named specialist reviews a guide in future, we will identify the reviewer, relevant role and scope of the review on that page.

Dates, corrections and reviews

A publication date records when a guide was first prepared. An updated date is used for a substantive revision, not automatically refreshed to make an article look newer. A date is not a guarantee that every external source has been checked that day.

To report a problem, email info@bedfordfencing.co.uk with the page address, the passage in question and any supporting source. We will assess the point and correct the guide where needed. We do not promise a response time before the contact service is operational.

Images, examples and commercial interests

Illustrations and constructed examples help explain a choice. They are not customer testimonials, evidence of a surveyed property or proof of work by a referral partner. We do not invent customer reviews, credentials, product tests or installation guarantees.

The initial referral trial is planned to be free for the partner; paid referrals or territory arrangements may follow. Commercial relationships do not turn indicative advice into an installer’s recommendation. Read about the service for the operating model.
